***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Hey Elwood I love the Minnow/Snake trap idea!!! I caught a copperhead a few years ago, it was coiled up under some 2x12s I had stacked up, when I picked them up I seen it and laid them back down, went and got the snake jar and a stick, had my son move the boards an I caught the snake and put it in the gallon jar, it almost filled the jar, it was over three feet long!!! I took it to a friend in Edmond and upon removing it from the jar my friend says" good thing you brought HER to me!" I said what??? It is a girl, and he says yes and she is pregnant and about to have babies, so you would have had about 20-30 babies around your place if you hadn't caught her!!! I think snakes are cool but do not like them around my chickens, took Teach a 2 and 1/2 foot Rat Snake to Poops!!! I picked up a gorgeous Spangled Game rooster and a beautiful Brown Red marked Toppy hen today at Guy Rose Auction!!!! Had a great visit with Les and Teva and their cute grand daughter!!! Bought too much stuff but only ended up spending $30 today!!! Have a great evening!! Lynn

I stoppe dby. Needed a break from cleaning up from the storm. i only stsyed about an hour or so an saw a few BYC'ers. Did not get to talk to them though. Not much that i was interested in.

DH wants a couple of Astralorps. Not sure why he didn't get them at POOPS, saw some adults there and chicks, so figured I would look for some at Blanchard. At this time I would need a young adult bird though because I am treating all my brooders for Cocci and don't want to bring in any chicks till we get that kicked.

they tend to stay in bushes or shrubs. they are a bright total green. there are garter snakes that have a greenish color but also have other colors on them...usually a checkered pattern

My great niece saw one today in a hole in a tree. I will check.tomorrow to see if it is still there and try to catch it for you.

Jaxon asked about Montana this evening, wondering where he was. So sorry that you had the opportunity to visit the ER with a little boy who has a major ouch.

Hope Montana is feeling better tomorrow (and maybe well enough that he can brag about the big bandaid on his finger.)

Teach, Jared caught what he calls a legless lizard the other day. Cool creature.
I am not sure of the exact name. It looked more like a lizard than a snake but had no legs. Would it be a glazz snake or is it called legless lizard?
He turned it loose.
