is anyone looking for some young egg layers?
I have two Columbian Wyandotte pullets that hatched single combed that are now 6 weeks old. They will be large frame birds and will lay great for several years, they just won't fit our breeding program.

I like brandywine tomatoes. That is all I planted this year!
Two kinds I have heard about and wanted to get this year (but didn't) are Jeune Flame and Sojourner. They are both supposed to be really good in the Oklahoma heat.

I grew Brandywines year before last and they rotted on the vines while still green, don't know why. Like blossom end rot only affected all the way up from the bottom. I never got a single ripe one so gave them up. I had all other kinds of tomatoes that did excellent. I've grown the lemon cukes and they are very mild and delicious! I'm having okra this year, it loves our hot Okie summers! Okra is so easy to freezy and is easy to steam or fry.

hey guys- quick question- do chickens absolutely need roost bars? what got me to thinking was pressure points- causing foot problems- some of mine like shelves- would that cause issues with their feet?

Just put the pot in the garden under some plants to provide shade, with the broken part as the doorway. I find them under stuff and buried in the ground before winter hibernation. I always try to save the toads!

If you really want to get fancy, you can paint the pot and write TOAD ABODE on it.

well some are 2 x 4's, with them sitting on the wider area, then i had some shelves which are about ten inches wide and some of them seem to prefer those.....
