As for hens laying, mine have slacked off too. I am gonna put them on a higher protein feed for awhile and see it they pick back up.
Its not good to try and have breeding programs and the hens won't lay. It puts a kink in the whole process.
If I wanted bird that don't lay, I'll just get more roosters.
