I will let you know when I take mine apart today. I have a feeling that mine got too hot but will let you know what I find.........Didn't think of the mess I am going to make when I do this.

Do you have a bagging lawn mower? If so just mow them and mulch the rest of your garden. Or put on the compost pile.

Nope don't have one, I live in the country & just let the grass fly. I do rake it for the birds and other stuff.

I had my tire tower set up on the south end of my house & it got full sun morning to sundown. I think I will have to re-think the location for it, although in the fall it won't be as hot. Do you plan to try yours again?

I know where Liberty Mounds is. Used to have some friends up that way plus I went to basketball and football games there years ago. I know a lot of folks in Mounds but of course thats not the same place.
I don't know of anyone with sizzles. Betsyok on here has the best silkies that I know of in Oklahoma.
She might know of someone who has sizzles. She lives west of Tulsa. Shoot her a pm on here if she doesn't come on today.
I don't know if you are new to our group or not but if you aren't I don't think I ever gave you a proper welcome. If you are, then Welcome again and glad to have you aboard.

Kassaundra,
I was talking to a guy at an auction last week who is originally from Schulter. We were talking about growing up in that area and the subject came up about the people there that had a talking crow.
He told me that the name of the family that had him and it is the same as yours. Ask your hubby if he had a talking crow when he was a kid.
I lived about a mile from Schulter for about year growing up and I used to ride my bike into town and every time I passed that crow he would say something or whistle.

Thanks Monty! I am brand new to this wonderful chicken world! I had no idea how much fun and stressful this could be! I'll look for Betsyok on here today.

I had a chick jump the gun today. The eggs are supposed to go into lockdown tonight. I had one hatch sometime last night. I hope that's a sign that the others will hatch also.
