As warm as it has been you might get away with sticking the eggs back but what would be nice is a clutch of eggs that were all layed on the same day if you have them. If you don't it's worth a try, I have lost power in an incubator & they have still hatched. Be sure to mark the date on your callendar so you will know when they should hatch.

Yes you will need chick start for the babies when they hatch.

If the developement process had started in the eggs already, they probable cooled down to much last night. If they were fresh eggs then they will be good to put under her. So I guess to anwser the question one must know, the eggs you took out, where they just laid or had the hens been setting on them for a few days.

The eggs had been laid that day.

Lynn if they haven't been wormed in a while I would suggest that you use the Wazine 17 first and then follow it up with an Ivermectin product two weeks later.

Two things can happen if you worm with a very good wormer, like Ivermec, from the get go.

1) The bird already being anemic can't take all of the worms turning loose at once and literally bleeds out.

2) The bird survives all of the worms turning loose but they clog up the intestines and then set up a very fast devoloping infection from the dead worms giving off toxins as they decay.

That is why Wazine is used first, it only kills adult round worms that it comes into contact with so it will thin out the parasite load. The two week wait is to let the bird recover before killing all of the parasites, both internal and external.

Thanks for the GREAT info!!!

Good afternoon everyone.. I got a question for NN or anyone else that might know.. i read on here sometime about putting something in the water to keep it fresher and not get alge as bad.. i cant remember what it was.. i use nipple water system with gravity flow from a 15 gal barrel..

they probably were talking about apple cider vinegar, the kind from the health food store, that hasn't been processed- it also helps their immune system

the processing kills the good bacteria in it- if you do a search for ACV here - they explain it-
