How did I miss you and Ol'Cowboy at Blanchard? Was Guy not wearing his Cowboy hat? There were a few nice birds there but no bantam cochins and i was tired and too hot so i left at 8:00.

Im easy to miss, I am schooled in the ninja arts of blending in with my surrondings. Actually I was the fat guy hugging the fan all night long. Probable couldnt see me for all the stuff teach bought and had stacked around me.

Had fun, first poultry auction I been to in years (excepted poops). I had a double (triple) good time. Stopped at Michaels and a guy in Chickasha on the way down, so already had the start for a good load coming home. We got in at 3:30 this morning. My wife went with us and she was nice enough to drive most of the way home. I might have got a five minute nap on the way home, My wife and teach will probable aurgue that though. Guy

I just dropped the baby skunk off at Wild Care Foundation in Noble. They even gave me a registration number so that I can check up on my baby at any time. All I have to do is call and tell them the number and they will give me any updates.

kool , i would have kept it tho , it would have made a great pet and conversation piece as well as a home security system lol

I wanted to keep it, but I also don't want the smell. It I'd illegal to own one in Oklahoma that was wild caught. Therefore, you can't get them descented and no local vets will care for them. I had it for a week before giving it up. In that time, I did all the research that I could to find a loop hole, but couldn't find one. I love skunks and have always wanted one. I don't get very emotional, but I cried this morning as we were leaving the house.

Hello,
Good to hear from you! The heat is getting to me to. I was doing o.k. but it seems to be catching up with me. My chickens seem to be doing o.k. so far. They do like it when I spray down the shadecloth and ground around the pens. It starts a clucking and trilling chorus.

On a happier note, the book series you are reading, A Game of Thrones, was mentioned on NPR Saturday morning as being a great book series - by an individual who was talking about summer reading lists and some of the books he has reviewed.

people who are not around poultry don't seem to understand that poultry pants when it is hot and short of installing an air conditioner for them, they are going to be hot when the temps are above 90 degrees - regardless of how much water or shade they have. I wonder what she would have done differently if the ducks had been hers? It sounds like to me that you take as many precautions as possible with regard to your poultry and the heat.
