***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Were they put in a pen with other birds or did they quarantine the 10 - 12 week olds? Often if they are younger than th others, the older ones will run the young ones away from food and water. They simply can't survive in this heat without food and water.

I don't have a lot of experience w/ this, but my gut feeling is to go w/ the sugar /honey dressing. I think the other two options have more of a chance of infection. If the honey wrap doesn't work you always have the docking option in the next few days.

Sounds like human error / neglect to me, especially since the others are fine.

I opted for the sugar annd honey dressing with the dock option for later.....she passed anyway...I guess the injury, shock and heat stress were too much for her to overcome.
We had doctor appointments today and didn't get home until 6:30. If we had been home, we would have caught her before all the damage was done. It's so sad to lose one so tragically....a sweet little chicky too.
