According to the British KO SHAMO standard....... Legs and feet yellow, dusky markings acceptable in dark coloured birds......... The 2 pullets are probable a little too dusky, but since there is no US standard (that I am aware of) I will probable use these and hope the next generation comes a little lighter.

I have an observation, we (most of the central US) have been baking in a massive heatwave / drought for months, some for more than a year, which the national news has occasionally mentioned for 2 seconds under their breath as a quick filler when they need a few seconds to fill time, but now that the northeast has had temps in the high 90's it is suddenly a national disaster!

Under the cockrell with yellow legs most of your pullets should be yellow legged next year, that is just from experience not based on any genetic probability or anything.. But leg color typically crosses over the sexes good male leg color ussually results in good pullets leg color and vice versa.

Had a good visit with Cameron and his friend today.
When they left my house it looked like the Beverly Hillbilles. They had pens strapped everywhere.

Thanks Garry! Was sure nice to meet and chat with ya today, despite the heat. We made the drive home all in one peice, somehow! I expected the cops to be lined up to write us tickets but we made it back to Savanna with all the cages, and clean driving records!​

Seems to be about the warmest day we've had so far. I get out early make sure everybody has feed and water mostly water they are off their feed. I had heard the chickens in the pens under my window giving the alarm and cackling didn't think too much about it my peacock has been bugging them. Opened the gates for the Nankins and turkey poults to get out and scratch around set down to drink my cup of tea heard a bird land on the metal roof over the trailer looked up and a hawk peeked over the edge at me, can you believe the nerve of that bugger? He flew into a snag out in the chickenyard and of course by the time I got back outside with the gun he was gone. I've made a trip outside every time someone sounds the alarm but haven't caught him yet I'm sure he's flying over trying to catch one of them out in the open.DARN HIM!!!!!!! One of the Nankin hens came up missing a couple of weeks ago I thought she'd hid out a nest now I'm thinking he probably ate her.

Just wondering if there is anyone in OK that has Sebastopol geese for sale (or hatching eggs) I would like to get some, but it seems that every time I find them, they are in another state.

Any help would be appreciated.
