***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I was weeding in the garden yesterday and saw this funny looking seed pod in the dirt, had never seen one like it so I went to pick it up to investigate it closer and .................................................................................................. it moved!!!!

I was very happy it did before I picked it up when I realized what it was.

It was a wolf spider w/ a hundred (probably hyperbole here) babies on her entire body. So wish I had the cameral w/ me. She foolishly ran in the direction of the chickens I think she survived the massacre that followed, don't think many of the babies did though.

Monty! I hope you are now taking care of that & it's a good thing your wife made you go as we all know you men tend to wait alittle to long before seeking medical help!

If he won't go to the Dr's for a dog bite gash and hypovolemia (lots of blood loss) what makes you think he'll go for a little spider bite!

But in his defense the recluse bite usually is pretty pain free, unlike the black widow which is extremely painful.

Kassaundra I wish I had the ability to take the kinds of pictures that you do. I have a little bird of some kind that has made a nest in one of my flowers, it isn't the typical nest as this is down in the dirt with the nest over the top. I will see if I can get pic's uploaded in the morning. I have two little spotted eggs in there but have yet to see the bird.

Waiting for round two of the meds to kick in wondering what is going to win the steroids making me hyper or the antihistimines and benadryl putting me into a coma.

What color spotted?

I would have thought the egg laying and baby rearing would have already been over whith this year?
