Hi Teach.

I just called about some chickens, and the parents put this boy on the phone cause they are his chickens. He tells me they are hens and they are splash. I asked what breed are they he replies "banty", so I say "ok they are splash colored banty's but what breed, he says "splash". So I give up he then says i also have a cochin mix baby, I thought ok then the hens must be mixed. I asked that question he replies "no they are full blood banty". LOL!!! I will just have to go see these chickens.

You are wrong teach, they are all suspect to be poisonous until I have killed them and can investagate closer.

I am with you all the way! They are nothing more than targets until they are dead.

We just got chickens a month ago. I ran into a friend and when I told her about the chickens, she said, Oh, I love chickens. When I was growing up, we had chickens. We had banties. They were so sweet. I told her what breeds I had and she definitely thought banty was a breed... Weird...

I have found more poisonous snakes on my property than not. Where I live we are "Plague d" with rattlesnakes. Im killing all the snakes I find.

I'm still looking for faverolles but am also seeing a few other types I might like to try. Back to researching I guess smile anyone else have a super favorite breed? I want to have just two or three dif types.

There were 2 different people with faverolles 2 weeks ago (CL). I want some, but I didn't love the coloring of some of them, when I asked to see pics of the parents, plus, I just got 4 chicks so can't get anymore right now:( Here are emails: [email protected] and [email protected]. Not sure if they still have any though... Good luck! I wish I could just have all the chickens I wanted:) Then I would get some Faverolles and many others!
