Barbieszoo,

I see you're still looking...I may have something that I didn't mention to you earlier. I'll send you a PM

Try turnips, radish, collards, spinach and lettuce. All can take the cooler temperatures and the turnips and collards will last until spring and even later. You can sow cabbage and brocolli for the greens also.

We got less than a 1/4 inch yesterday and thru the night. Looks like the storm split and went SW and NE around Meeker...happens all the time.

The hens and teens are loving this cooler weather. We are going to have to load in some more dirt with the tractor into the temporary pen area to slope that ground better for drainage or I'm going to have to honeydo the permanent chicken expansion. Need better drainage or guttering along the barn roof to protect the hen run from holding water too. There is enough runoff to fill a few troughs.

Nice that the weather will soon be breaking so these projects aren't just on the back burner.

The boys are going to start taking steers and some of the cull cows to market this weekend. We usually start loading cattle to market in late September and October. We are already feeding hay in Choctaw and on one pasture here. The leases in Prague and Paden got plenty of rain so far.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday and that the sales are profitable for those selling.
