***OKIES in the BYC III ***

My youngest one had 2 goats & they ran off never to be seen again. We searched, asked neighbors, but never found them. Now she wants to get some bottle goats so they will love her & never leave her. I say bottle goats sounds like a lot of work for me!!!!

There's a bottle baby goat for sale in Haskell. I saw the ad on Craig's List when I was checking to see if my ad was online. If nobody claims this goat, you can be the first on the list to come get it

Bantam Cochin pullet's first few eggs are 1/2 the size of their mature eggs. So that means it takes 12 of those to make a 3-egg omlet instead of 6!
My girls lay more that enough for DH and I , get to give some away sometimes. People think they are fun and it is a chance for pountry education.

Are Ko Shamos bantams? Because "ko" means child in Japanese.

Dont know anything about serama, but some of my ko are half as tall as my shamo bantams. I have always liked battery style breeding pens, and the ko work great for that for me.

Oh wow, I should have read farther - kind of tiny games?

Ain't no ducks under no circumstances ever getting back on this place short of being in a bag. that's not even funny.

We had a milk herd of goats when I was a teen and we bottle raised them all, it wasn't hard, we just gave the babies bottled milk 2 times a day at milking times. Don't know if that is the correct way, it was my Gma's way, we raised many many that way and they were all healthy. I think hand raising them makes them much more pet like and tame, I know all ours were.
