***OKIES in the BYC III ***

WE got rain too! Not a lot but every bit helps. After it dryed up I got the yard mowed again. It was kind of patchy looking.
Moved the rest of the g. pigs back into the shed so they will tame down a bit. Thinking of divideing the bottom of the pigeon flight up and putting the two doe rabbits back on the ground. No real benifit other than I think they are cuter running around on the ground!lol.
Don't know if this last muscovy duck is going to do any good or not. She keeps busting eggs and bringing them out of the nest. I guess she can tell they are bad! The other two have never brought an egg out.

Thanks for the bread receipe,I am going to try it!
Elwood, the world would be a much happier place if everyone lived by those rules!

Sooner do you have a milk cow?

Is anyone on here able to transport a bird from here (Durant) to that show? It is one hen that I am selling, and the buyer would like her delivered there, but I will not be making the trip since I am not showing now.

I don't read so well this early. I couldn't figure out if you were gonna have one of LilSooner's show birds for dinner or if you were gonna cook the possum. Then I realized it was neither.

nope we are having homemade chicken & dumplins with fresh bread. If it turns out good I will share the recipe. You can make the dough & keep in the fridge to make bread daily.

I don't cook when it gets this hot outside. I figure my airconditioner is working hard enough w/o my making it work harder. (I do minimal cooking or microwave, but my oven hasn't even been turned on in 2 months.)

As a rule I don't use the oven when it is this hot either but I had a desire to do some cooking. I have a toaster oven that was DH's grandmothers & it is large enough to bake just about anything in (hold 9x13 pan) it so I use that, it's set up in the laundry room.

Just got the bread out of the oven so it's time to get outside & start on yard work & chicken pens.

No I don't have one since I don't have time to milk one twice a day but alady down the road does so I get fresh milk anytime I want it. I use the cream in my coffee ect. This time is butter & cheese (if I get that done tonight).

Hey Ya'll, I'm just outside Tuttle and looking for some hens. I lost 3 a couple weeks ago when it was hotter than hades. I'd like buff orpington, brahma, easter egger or cuckoo maran but others would be great too.

do you guys know anyone that has some for sale?

I would even be interested in swapping the three girls I have left, a white rock, a barred rock and a gold wyandotte for several younger pullets

email me if you have any suggestions.
