Will be headed out soon to go to one of the leases to bring young heifers and bull home. When we fed yesterday, one had obviously been stuck in the mud up to her briskit. While the grass there is still good, the pond is surrounded by mud. Can't take the chance of losing a heifer to mud.
We got no rain last night. So until the rains fill that pond back up to an acceptable level, we will bring them home and pasture them here. Means we will have to start feeding hay sooner if there is no rain.
Praying for rain. We need some old fashioned toad soakers.
Jarvis roo was doing his crowing from the warmth of his little coop this morning...smart boy!
