Good morning/almost noon everyone! Had a great time at Green Country swap, can't wait for another! I do agree that the rain kept more folks away though. Thanks Joe for a great time. I am assuming that was your wife and kids that were there. My girls enjoyed playing with all the kids. Brooklyn couldn't wait to get home and she her daddy her ribbon:weee
I sure hope our pretty blue eggs hatch for us. Thanks again for a great time.

Poco pollo thanks for the beautiful australorp. She laid a nice lightly speckled pullet bullet on the way home.

BFrancis and kwartel it was good to see you again.

Well got things to do, yak at ya later!

Grace need to update the Blanchard auction.

Goats are no longer being sold.

The sell starts at 5pm with everthing.

Thanks

Your doing a great job

WOW, I had to scroll half way down the page to find the Okies. Never had to do that before.

Aside from having very little to say, what else is new?

I spent some time back in the hospital again, but I'm out now and feeling better than ever. I plan on spending more time on the board here to catch up with all the goings on. nI look forward to seeing everyone face to face at a sale/auction in the near future.

Coming this Saturday at the Blanchard Auction will be lots of cages, pet carriers, aquariums, small animal cages (rabbit, guniea pigs, chicks, hamsters),some feeders ,waterers, and some who knows. I will post updates on the list as available.

I agree! I'm still learning, but know the basics anyway, lol! We (Kwartel and I) will help anyway need to...I think having an info booth somewhere would be good, and could list Okie BYCers with breeds if someone was looking for something in particular, we could send them the right direction instead of sending people to out of state hatcheries...it also would be good free marketing to our own Okies that have birds they want to sell. It would also let people know of our backyard community so that once they got their new birds home, they still would have a "go to" network close to home.

Had fun at Green Country Swap, saw a few folks we knew and met a lot more Okie BYCers...not sure, but believe BYC are the only ones who brought birds. We brought home an awesome colored EE roo from Poco Pollo, and is probably the most tame LF I've ever encountered. (we're going to use him in our OE program) We got also brought home a couple pullets, to add to DW's EE mutt flock...and got 6 hatching Coronation Sussex eggs...they'll go in the 'bator tomorrow (pretty excited about those). We were able to sell only one EE cockeral...to a BYCer from Arkansas...all in all it wasn't a bad day, we didn't stay for the auction, it was already a long day for our 3 yo.

I agree w Michael. Enable everyone to love poultry. Think you would need a few display birds. Some cute snuggly ones that are types most people have not seen & some fat dual purpose along with a few eggs of every color for display & maybe one of those small A frame coops. That way people can see how little of space they need in their yard for a pair of birds. Lots of people say they don't have the space for birds.

Heading outside to clean the yard. Rained pretty good last night & each time it rains even more trash appears. Honestly wonder how many burried trash piles we have on our farm & if we will ever get them all picked up.
