Yes sir I did. I been looking for another doe to help my nubian doeling get over being lonely. Low and behold if Michael didnt have one in his trailor when I seen him at Newcastle. Before it is all said and done I would like to have 5 to 8 milkers.

Okla doo I also got me some racing homers. I used to fly alot back a few years back. I have some friends down where I am moving and we are going to start back flying a little. I am excited. I have always liked flying the homers.

Good deal Cowboy! I always liked the look of the nigerians, altho I have never had one. Homers is about the only breed I ahve never taken to! Guess because I never had anyone close by that was involved in them either. I banded 6 new rollers today. My birds have really produced good this year. Already banded over a hundred babys so far.

Michael you just keep comming up with surprises! I believe you could find just about anything anyone was looking for!You are King Enabler!lol

Michael,
I love your ideas and enthusiasm, and the thoughts of all the others. It occurs to me that perhaps several of those of you who do have chickens of many varieties could make some arrangements to visit nearby schools for a small presentation to the youngsters. There is nothing so pressing for a parent as a child with the desire to own/care for a pet and maybe that might spark some of the parents to investigate chickens and BYC. It may also help us push city council(s) - like OKC, into some action on the old outdated ordinances! And maybe we could own a few hens again (sniff sniff) without having to build an expensive privacy fence all around our home.

Thanks everyone for thoughts and prayers for my MIL. She is a very special lady.

I fell asleep around 6:30 and woke up just a few minutes ago...longest nap ever!

Michael and others...great ideas! We are friends with a kindergarten teacher in Tecumseh who is going to set up an incubator in her classroom for her students. Will be working with her some...that's another opening for educating children on chickens.

Poco love the photos and Joe looked great in the chicken hat. You may really have something there!

Was reading something in a health journal the other day about the benefits of goat's milk over cow's milk and lactose intolerance. Goat's milk has smaller fat molecules and is much easier on the digestive system. Also better for those with cholesterol issues. It makes great yogurt too.
