I am so happy for the weekend! Going to go see TJ's nana tomorrow if they are home! Everything I have is in moult & it looks like a pillow exploded out by the pens. I hope Lil'Sooner has enough that come out of it to show in the Ark Show.
Happy Friday Everyone!!
Good to see you Cowboy! Keep posting, we don't mind if it takes you all night!!!

I think you're right on the money with that one. My horses already have winter coats and when we cut the persimmon seed it had a spoon in it just like last year! Get ready folks...lots of snow!
I cut serveal of the persimmons seeds & also got the spoon in every one of them.
My neighbor is in her 80s and she uses the persimmon predictor also. She has been right every year.
Can't remember the differences for each utensil: fork, knife, spoon
If spoon is really cold, is knife dry and fork mild?

According to Farmer's Almanac, this is what the different utensils mean:
A knife shape indicates a cold icy winter (where wind will cut through you like a knife). A fork shape means a mild winter. A spoon shape stands for a shovel to dig out of the snow.)
Hope everyone is gearing up for a great weekend! The wind is kicking hard outside already again today. My poor birds didn't want to come out yesterday with the dirt blowing all around.
We are taking a van load of girls to freight fest @ frontier city tonight. We aren't haloween people, so hope it is tolerable for me. Plan was to dig a trench this weekend but if the wind doesnt let up I won't be digging. Also wanted to get some rye down on about an acre, can't do that in the sand storm either! I do have a love hate relationship with the soil around us.
Dont think I am going to the sale, but I guess I will wait & see what tomorrows weather brings. Might change my mind.
I'm curious is there any auction or swaps going on the weekend of the 15th i have some light/dark Brahma crosses i need to get rid of. I am starting to get chicken poor lol.
And I'm also curious about saipan jungle fowl and shamos.. I have a nice little flock of each but didn't think they layed until close to 12 months because they take so much longer to fully mature. And i didn't think they layed that well when they finally did start laying but they are out laying my layers. Anyone have any experience with they little beauties??
