Saw the myriad gardens is having a grand reopening event Saturday. Lots of free activities for the family.

Taking Popeye and the BLRW Splash hen to the vet in the morning to have him look at their eyes. The vet in Shawnee is an avian vet who also shows chickens. If something surgical will help fix the situation for either one or both, it will be worth it.
The BLRW had her eye pecked a few weeks ago by another hen and today it really looked swollen underneath the eye. We know the eye is gone, but it should be healed closed by now.
Popeye has had a swollen eye from a sinus infection that hasn't been responding to antibiotics.

You should consider a spring fundraiser of selling Broiler Chicks...(Welp will make a good deal as a 4-H fund raiser and drop ship for you) You can also rasie several broilers through the 4-H program for teh competition in the Tulsa State Fair, they auction them off by the pen at the end and some sold for almost 4K last year.

Thanks for the info.!

Sometimes the infection sets up hard and has to be physically removed my gently massaging the area. It helps to break it up. My drug of choice for this is LS-50. So far it has worked really well for me

There are several good fence chargers on the market. Get one that doesn't pulse like is used for stallions. Build a fence around the birds and put the wires about 2 inches apart for the first couple of feet. Then keep the ground wet under the fence for the first couple of weeks, a better ground means a better shock.

Thanks, I'm trying to get better taking pics of people, but none of the adults in my family will let me practice on them they all have camera "issues" and don't like having their pics taken, if I didn't know better I'd swear they were all in witness protection or something.

So I practice on the kids but they have issues all their own.

I can't wait to go, but I can't go on Sat since I work, and I really want to take some pics so I will wait until the crowds thin down a little bit. The last time I went was during their last orchid fest before the remodel.
