I've been in the garden today, but didn't get as much done as I had hoped. Picked another walmart sack full of okra, and another walmart sack full of radish. I decided what I'm going to do w/the radish (I don't like them in salad very well, but love them cooked) but they don't freeze well so I am going to shred them and freeze them in 1/2 cup mounds and have them ready to add to soups. I may do an experiment and cook them (saute'd w/ butter and seasonings) then freeze them, see if they are good after being thawed that way.

Hey everyone

Had the pleasure of taking the family to Gander Mountain, its like a Bass Pro shop but for hunters, fisherman and outdoor kinda people. There were lots of cool things, and I had a good chuckle at some of the women's apparel and immediately thought of Michael's daughter and all the bragging photos he has of her..lol Like Sorry Boys Guns Are For Girls ... ect ect

Anyhow the temps are holding in the 50's here and wet... we had the pleasure of going to the house yesterday and it was funny seeing their hens hop up on the side porch trying to peek into the house for some bread treats.. made me miss our flock back there in OKLAHOMA.

Anyhoot I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend and hope the rain comes your way... I will be happy to share all the excess we get

Thanks NN... We did and the folks have been wonderful but with anything and everything we still have to wait till we close before we can celebrate that the home is officially ours.. lol... but believe me Jason and I have BIG DREAMS... ha ha ha

Sad I missed the auction, but I had to take advantage of the warm weekend. Our "must do before winter" list is HUGE & with DH taking comand on the training side of post we don't know how much home time he will have.

I'm going to take some aspirin before bedtime. DH helped put a new floor in one of the coops. I moved a small mound of dirt to make the front pen area more level. It felt like a mountain.
