DH makes shrimp etouffe and chicken and shrimp gumbo a couple of times a year. I help with the rou (sp?). He gets shrimp with heads and tails and uses those to make a long simmered fish stock. Yummmmmm

I'm going to Newcastle, need to sell a few more birds to reduce the number of birds I want to feed this winter. I still have several nice Mille Fleur roos. They sure take a long time to mature or am I just impatient?

Not just you, I'm waiting on pullets for the next generation of birds here.. Pens all set, timers and lights are ready to go. Just waiting on the pullets.

Seems like it was a cajun day today. Wife fixed me chicken sasuge & shrimp gumpo for dinner and boy was it good. Lol. So is there a show coming up?? Im kinda out of the loop.

So log as it's not Cajun everyday it's all good. I used to work down by NO and gained 10-15 lbs everytime I went down there.. If I ate like that everyday I would have to call the fire dept. to leave the house..

I thought displays had to be so many females & males of one variety in a breed?

The duns I have seem to be more of a dusky blue/brown color. May be a wheaten version of chocolate? They are quite unique!

That is interesting, they are typically extended balck.. I would imagine a wheaton base would modify the color a bit.. are they laced or solid colored? Do they sun bleach badly?

No lacing, solid color. This is my first year with the color, so I'm not sure if they bleach out easy in the sun.
