all is quiet here, but later tonite and tomorow they are talking lots of heavy rain... now how am i going to be able to convince the water fowl to come home once that ponds full....

Robin, we had seramas outside last winter, we didn't put them in a building with any kind of heat til it got in the single digits, with negative wind chill s, and we didnt lose a single bird. Just always, always keep them out of the wind, and dry.

Mitzi, i agree with you 150% on losing these guys- as i told someone i always lose a piece of my heart, but then the next one gives a little back- yes, for me injuries are easier to deal with than illness, because alot of illness' don't become evident in birds until later- and accidents can happen- its just part of having them-

Matt, thanks for sharing that- i guess cause they are so small i assume way delicate- by the way, Emily loves being outside with zigzag- took me awhile to learn, chickens do enjoy being outside...
