Maybe she is Black Copper Marans crossed with Barred Rock because she has light colored legs. Marans have dark colored legs and feet. They are both neat birds. She is a very pretty color and you know I love Cochins.

THINKing may be i should stay home to day an get all my bird's ready for the cold weather coming in i dont have much time by the time i get of work it get's dark so early still have alot of pen's i need to face east an west so they will have a wind break ..

Just today I filled all the pens with wheat straw, they'd eaten the grass down to nothing everywhere. They're having a blast, I had no idea there were little seeds and stuff in straw for them to eat. Anyway, I'm loving this for bedding in their pens. I can easily see tossing the old straw out to the back of the yard every couple weeks and throwing some more in. I really like it compared to bare dirt in their pens.
What do you use in pens for them? Those birds of yours have some gorgeous feathering.
i uss a lot of weat straw and yes they alway love it when you put freash in they eat the left over weat and onther out of it it also keeps the pen clean and dry here at villamil farms we go throught about 2 bales a week and if its wet and raining we uss even more
