***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Correct.
For Parakeets and Lovebirds, cuttlebone is very effective as a way to increase their calcium intake. The outer shell of the cuttle is like a hard shell and is very sharp when broken.

I use dog toenail trimmers, place with the curved side faceing teh direction of teh curve of teh top half of beak, set the cutting surface flush with the tip of the bottom beak and trim it off, you may need to touch up with a fingernail file to shape if you are planning to show soon or allow the bird to do itsself otherwise.

Most of us have a set schedule w/ a set truck (or two) My regular schedule is set specific days and specific trucks, but if I work any extra it could be any truck or station or day. There is such a shortage of medics a lot of us work OT each week. There are part timers called prn, there schedule is not set they could be on any truck shift or station each week.

I got a broken chest freezer yesterday, my brother found for me. I am going to work on modifying it to house a bunch of dubia's. Right now I can feed out about 50 a day to the girls, I'm hoping to increase my colony size to feed out upwards of 300 per day. But I have some logistal issues to iron out w/ the freezer first.

Merry Christmas Eve, Everyone!

Our schedule includes midnight mass tonight and then a visit on Christmas Day in OKC with MIL, FIL, and Opa, who is now 104 years young. Mom said she's up to the drive, so we'll have a few hours in the car each way to chat.

No snow here yet. I hope we can avoid any precipitation until after the holidays. I know a white Christmas is beautiful, but it turns feeding and watering into a chore. I don't mind wearing insulated coveralls, but I have fits trying to get the spiky, stretchy slip-guards on my boots when we have ice.

Here's a little pre-Christmas dance to put a smilie on your face.

my monitor loves them roaches and the bigger benefit is i keep them in cabinets in the desks and most of my kids are so scared they won't look in the cabinets cuz they don't know where they are!
