***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Every chicken breed in the world originated with the jungle fowl, but its quite a ways back. Ya'll believe who or what ya want on oriental fowl, there are apparently several experts on here already, and I bow to their expertise, and i hope everyone has a merry Christmas.

I made a pumpkin, pecan, coconut and made some tiramisu. I took quite a hunk outta the pumpkin, so I gotta replace it.

Everything I have here at the moment is OE bantams, I have been looking for some real nice Rosecombs for a while, they will arrive next fall but would like to find two hens or pullets to get started with before hatching season hits.
Over the next few years I will be adding a few varieties of Rosecomb.

I think those colors will look outstanding on the Rosecomb body.

What colors are crossed to get the Opels?

How do they get along w/ other chickens? Same breed or other? I was thinking there was some discussion about them being quite aggressive to other chickens, but I could be confusing them w/ some other breed. They also are the ones that only lay a couple times a year in batches right?

They are not flock chickens by any means. Some don't lay very well, and some lay very well.

My group of bantam shamo running the yard are getting pretty serious in their scrapping lately. I'm going to be putting them up in pens soon. You might get away with having a couple of broodmate stags together in a large flock of hens, but it's best to just keep one per pen.
