***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Never been to chupps but I believe birds sell with the cage there. I dn like seeing birds piled on top of each other however most sellers don't have numerous cages to part with so they have to get creative with the cages.

It's pretty typical at Chupps but I haven't seen it at other auctions.

How is everyone tonight?

the sad truth is at anny auction there are usualy birds that have not been in the best or even ok condition chupps is a large auction so you see more stuff . i was at chupps this week end and saw the birds you where talking about when i take birds to auctions i make cadges out of welded wire to haul the to the sell the nice cages make the birds look better and only cost me about 1 or 2 $ a cage

Kings feed does sell game cock ration but the store I spoke of is Harrah feed. It's just south of the library and police station. Just look for big silos. I am not sure if they have any, or what. I would definitely call first. Pm me for the number.

The last chick finally hatched this afternoon but I have a concern. It looks to me like it has spraddle leg. Any thoughts on how to correct that on such a tiny chick?

I cut a band- aid in half hot dog bun style. Bandage legs into correct position will be good in 24-48 hours. Are the toes curled as well? For curled toes (usually only happens in my guinea keets) I make a shoe out of a dime & tape the toes corrected within a few days-- I retape daily, using medical tape.

I've used band-aids before. It worked very well. Posted somewhere is an illustrated explaination.
NN told me that pipe cleaners work very well. The stickyness of the band-aids makes putting them on feather legs more difficult.
I bet you can correct his feet and legs. Just do it soon.
I'm rooting for the little guy/girl!
