You have babies! Everyone's got babies but me!Look who came out to say hi this morning.
And SixShooter has babies, too lol!
Good advice. We bleached our shoes and stripped our clothes off when we got back from the auction last weekend as soon as we got home. And all the new birds got baths but that waited til the next day.Guy's tip of the DayToday's topic, Bio Security. How many times have you had someone come to your house and visit and you say "come out and look at the chickens". Weather they are friends just visiting, or possible someone that saw your birds and are interested in them or someone that answered your ad "for sale chickens". Everyone that steps foot in your chicken pens is a possible carrier of some chicken disease or bug. This stuff can be carried on clothes and shoes. Be very careful about letting others walk around your yard. Same can be said about you. You go to some friends house, go to check out a show, or AUCTION etc. You are taking a chance of bringing some uninvited bug back to your fowl without ever having bought or brought in new birds. When I go to a show, auction or just out looking at other folks chickens, I always wear a different pair of shoes I do chores in and always change clothes before getting back to my birds. It is tough keeping all the things that you can see (varmits) from getting your fowl, at least with a little effort you can keep all those things you cant see at bay.
