my lav bantam amaraucuanas are BLEAM line and came from BYCer LITTEL AMAUARCAUNA MOM . I dont think that she hatched from my eggs

I'm not upset or anything, she is the sweetest thing!

I had two that hatched out of that batch that were blue/lavender. One was half the size of the other and did not make it. The others that hatched were black and just as sweet. She's just bigger than they are. Here is her just hatched photo next to her brothers and sisters. I did have some Marans eggs in the bunch but they
hadn't hatched yet.

Our friend brought in 14 more straw bales for my garden and hen house! He is such a nice neighbor! I'll be keeping him in jelly and veggies and eggs for a while for sure!

Is this a dry stack path with a concrete top or did you concrete them in place?.
We have been looking at slowing down our creek water by making rock berms every 50 -75 feet or so. Should back up small pools of water for a while too. The water runs so quickly in the spring rains that it can knock a calf off its feet.

This bridge was actually there when we bought the home...but it's rocks are mortared together. The top is still raw stone, but the seams are mortared too. I've seen the rain water move very quickly here too...without the stones being concreted in place, bet they would have been washed out too. There is a small culvert through the bridge to help keep water from going over the top, but also create a pool on the forward side.

Stacy, you put up some neat photos yesterday! Really like your coops...we'll have to get back out there to see what all you've done, bet it looks neat and your birdies are way happy!
