I hadn't eaten all day and my stomach was thinking my throat had been cut, I got to thinking about nachos LOL I decided to just cook as I wasn't going to go anywhere but 2 pork steaks and veggies and I'm full and worthless now so I think I will head out to see chicken folks, I may load a cage or three cause I know as long as there are BYC'ers there having no cages WILL NOT PREVENT IMPULSE POULTRY PURCHASES!

Thank you! I talked to her last night and she's got them but haven't heard back from her today as to when she can send. I wanted to double check with you 1st-thanks!
I've got around.....60 counting the turkeys & I thought I was feeding 150 lbs a week (they free feed). But I've been actually keeping track and found out I'm not even going through 75 lbs a week! Awesome news for me. I wish I'd have went to the trouble of keep track long ago so I'd have felt better about it. It'll cut down even more in the summer when my bug colonies are going and the bugs outside are out.

hah! man training,,,,,, pffffffft.i am well trained, i dont mow the yard right, so she does it.i break dishes, so she does them.i burnt the belts off of 2 vacmns, so she does that now. i buy birds, she feeds and waters cause she doesnt like the way i do it. she works 40 hrs a week, work about 20-30. she makes about 750 every 2 weeks, i make about 500 a week.yep, i am well trained!
You think we don't know you guys do things wrong on purpose so that we'll do it ourselves??? That's the oldest trick in the book and there's not a woman in Oklahoma that falls for that. We just play along so you'll think we're overworked and feel guilty enough to let us get something when WE really want it.

It helps having an understanding spouse.. I live by the simple principle happy wife happy life, but I am no picnic to live with I assure you.
Uuummmm.......my husband might say I'm no walk in the park to live with either

(Course he better say it under his breath and then run....)

I have this really bad habit of sitting here in my chair and falling asleep LOL I was here the other day and waiting for an online auction to get close to the end so I could bid and win and fell asleep when I woke up I had been outbid and it was over

Missed out on some cool stuff that went cheap

We are heading to the auction now-- stopping for dinner on the way. Bill glad you changed your mind, you would have missed all the fun if you stayed home. Just had the cage fight here. Told DD she may want to grab some cages. She said she had one. Told her to grab some more she stomped her feet. But the thing is almost all birds we buy are ones she ask for. Would has thought she would want cages to put them in. Guess she can hold them in her lap if she finds anything she can't live without.

Congrats to little sooner! DD says she wants to show, she just never has found someone close to teach her the ropes. Honestly after hearing all the exhausting prep & non-stop shows makes me think showing is beyond what we had time for. Basketball & cheer took up alot of our time this yr. don't think either of the girls want to do softball, so maybe we will have some down time from school functions!
My girls are off every Friday after spring break. I was thinking that means we can take a rd trip to the maud auction sometime!
See everyone soon!

Sooner, great news on Lil'sooner's wins and that she is feeling better.

Meforz (I can't remember how to spell it but you know who you are) my husband tries that too, oh I can't do it as well as you ..... and for most things I just lower my standards remembering he is only a man.

Robin, I think once they learn to crow the "Big C" doesn't stop it, so if you intend for that sooner is better, since he is already trying. The older (bigger) they get the more dangerous the procedure since they have a more developed blood supply to the area.

Who'd a thunk it? Sam posted this on FB I thought I'd share it, I had no idea they carried this sort of thing they are cool but pricey well they are for me anyway LOL
www.walmart.com chicken+coop

Looks like the company that is actually shipping them has themselves a contract with WalMart. Nice looking coops. I wonder if any of the stores actually stock them - these look like a "catalog only" item

Showing is fun. You can make it as busy or not busy as you want depending on what you want to do. Taking care of the birds is daily show or no show. you might just find one in the area & go watch it. That might be the best way to learn. You can also use the show function on here along with just serching on the web.

I feel the falling asleep in my chair happening for me tonight. I have already got a roast ready to make into BBQ sands & they can feed themselfs.
