Oh my gosh! Baby pics are killing me!!!!
I have a silkie hen sitting on 7 eggs I will let her hatch. They are mystery chicks, not sure just know the mom was a bantam. Whatever hatches will go to the auction.
This weekend will be the beginning of setting up breeding pens. Still need to go get colored zip-ties so I can start getting everyone banded so I can start to keep track of everyone. May set up a couple of pure breed pens. So looking forward to starting my breeding program.
So glad today is Friday. I am so tired and just bone weary. Think I am going to head to bed here quickly. Planning on going to Newcastle auction tomorrow. Looking forward to going and hoping to find a few more additions to the breeding program.

Kassaundra, I really think you need some Seramas, and I know just who you can get them from, too.

Even if I could talk myself into a house bird (not just chicken any bird) I have a doxy who loves chickens and NOT in a good way!!!!!!

Doing good out here in the east Elwood. Reading about all the Okies starting their seeds indoors. Its hard to believe its that close to spring. I wonder if we will end up with a late winter. March is usually pretty terrible for the first half. I just shudder looking at everything budding out around here.

Starting to see a lot of baby chicks on craigslist here. The co op in the next town down got chicks in this week!

P& B I can't wait till these rabbits make it to the U>S>!

I got some seeds today I hope to plant some on Sunday outside and if I can figure out a place in the house to start some seeds I really need to, at least some peppers and tomatoes if nothing else.

Kass has you thought of doing a cold frame for your seedlings? You could throw one together with the supplies you have already gathered. Put your seedlings out during the day & carry them back in on nights when it is going to be cold.
