What a long week. Got alot done but pretty tired every night. I often didn't even check the thread! - just fed chickens and went to bed. Sure hard to catch up.

Finally got caught up! But its nice to see the thread busy again!
Been outside most of the day enjoying the spring weather. My plum tree is almost ready to burst into bloom! Supposed to rain tomorrow turn to snow by sunday!
Worked on getting things ready for the sale tomorrow. Ended up with some extra roos and guniea pigs so I will take them. Taking several dozen eggs to a friend to try and hatch. they will be raised with the chicks I get from SandHill. I guess my breed for the year is going to be cochins. I have three colors so far.All bantams. Also going to give a try with some true Arucanas,have two hens and a roo. The hens have ear "tuffs" and are rumpless.The roo is tailed and clean faced. They are called "bantams" but not what I concider bantams. They are about the size of leghorns.maybe a bit smaller.
Hey Joe I guess your busy loading the truck for tomorrows sale! Let us know how well you do!

Cowboy how are your pigeons doing? I finally banded my first roller of the year this week! Got two more that will be big enough next week. Have two American Confettis on eggs.

Pigeons are doing fine, I banded a few more today. So far getting some good markings and size. Cant wait to see how they look after first molt.

Ideal's for plant markers??????? I ran out on my seeds last night & won't have time for the store.

Seedling labels-- I bought a box of 1000 @ American plant products -- thought it would last a couple yrs. I have already Burned through half the box this yr! For DIY labels that last you can cut up an old mini blind. The blinds are not as thick as the "real" thing but it is the same material. Write on them with a fine tip sharpie.

What's funny is I was going to say old mini-blinds, scissors and a sharpie LOL I have been doing that for years it works great I haven't bought a plant label in over 15 years one set of blinds will last a long time

Took me a while to get caught up and now I have to go find something to eat think it is going to be spaghetti not real sure though...

Fairwind, finally here are some pics of our little Buffs that we talked about.
The second pullet is finally laying and she is making up for being behind her sister, 6 eggs this week - I could have sworn she layed 2 one day!
