***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Doing good out here in the east Elwood. Reading about all the Okies starting their seeds indoors. Its hard to believe its that close to spring. I wonder if we will end up with a late winter. March is usually pretty terrible for the first half. I just shudder looking at everything budding out around here.

Starting to see a lot of baby chicks on craigslist here. The co op in the next town down got chicks in this week!

P& B I can't wait till these rabbits make it to the U>S>!

I think Maribeths are almost that big LOL That's bigger than a lot of peoples dogs
I read that link that Robin posted I sure hope that winter don't come that harsh here I don't mind the time off work but keeping everything alive through it can be a challenge

Yikes!! I killed the thread again, I'm gonna develop a complex (or not)

Ha I found something that I have on hand! Plastic knifes! That will work for now! I have a pile of them that never get used.

I use the leftover plastic spoons and knives - from the partial boxes of plastic ware we tend to accumulate over time, as seed markers.

Oh I hate days when I feel like am getting nothing done! I did get coops all cleaned out and water and feeders all bleached and refilled. Then we went to Prauge to the sale there. Didn't see anything I couldn't live without.

I saw where the Prague exotic animal auction is moving to Locust Grove, after this month. Even though we have only been about a dozen times, it was always fun to see the unique animals. My red golden pheasants were started in 2006 with eggs I purchased there and my black shouldered peacocks were from there as well. That was certainly the only auction I would ever consider paying admission to watch.

Good evening all!

Was wondering if anyone has any naked neck chicks for sale. I have 4 in my flock right now.
They are the best layers that I have. I got those at Atwoods last year, but would prefer to buy from an individual instead.

Thanks,
Lori

I don't have any yet but should have plenty to sell come springtime. Blue, black and splash!

Guy,
I certianly hope you like Black Birds.. because you got a bunch of them... I did see 2 Blue NN's though.. They must hatch hungry... they're eating the egg shells..
Your hatch is almost done and NanaKat's cochins are just starting to Pip.

Those cochins are starting early!

Played bridge tonight with my siblings and will see dad tomorrow.

Goodnight everyone...loved the pictures and conversations.
