we need a blushing smily.

I may have had a stroke of genius, only time will tell. I have been researching Korean Natural farming, and have made some LAB (lacto acid basillicus) I cleaned about half the chicken poop out from the coop (put it directly on the comfry) then sprayed the lab, then (here is the genius part) put a layer of my dug up runner grass roots, and sprayed the lab again. It is suppose to decompose everything much quicker and kill or at least make it inhospitable for e-coli and salmenilla and a bunch of other great stuff I don't remember at the moment (long night). Anyway if it destroys the runnergrass roots I will be dancing a happy dance.

Now I'm off to dig some new beds, these are going to be the edible flowers, herbs, salad, strawberries, and walking onions. Somewhere near 120 x 4 ft.

woo hoooo!!!! brand new laptop! now i gotta reenter everthing i had saved, and resend my pics from my pc at my daughters.

the other one just kinda had it, been thru 2 families and the last one before me was my granddaughter when she was 8. took me 3 days to get the hard drive cleaned up on it, then used it for a couple of years.

this new one is just a little faster and works just a little better that the old one!

and i hope i dont turn the video chat on, at least till i put on some pants!

Mine died last night while I was gone.. now on a new machine myself. I sure hope you don't have trouble with your new one that would make me wonder about tis one now too.

i just buy the cheap ones, they will last long enough for me.

i got an acer, i have had real good luck with my acer pc, and this one was cheap enough for a titewad like me!

The little netbook I just got is a used Acer and I'm pretty impressed with it. It's easy enough to replace parts on a computer, makes no sense to buy a $1500 computer when you could buy tons of cheap ones and get to tinker with them.
Old Cowboy-the picked eggs were perfect! I just made 8 to make sure it was going to work, I ate all 8 myself lol I told everyone it was a practice batch :) I went and got lots of vinegar, (balsamic also), Italian dressing, some of those little onion stalks onions, green peppers, cucumbers & beets. I don't even know what beets are and have never tasted them but they were so pretty. I found some pint canning jars marked down to $5 so I'm going to put the pickling mix, egg and other ingredients into the jars. That way they should keep for a long time. And me being the SALT lover that I am.....! It'll be so much better for me than 3 or 4 Hershey bars

I'm going to experiment. I wonder what pickled Hershey bars would taste like.......?

You should leave them in jar for min of 2 weeks to get good flavor. the longer they stay in jar, the better. When I was dfoing the quail eggs it was the hardest part, not eating them before they had time to age a little.

i had another productive day working on the breeder house today

first i finished stereching the wire for the last three pens that i did not get doun last week end

secound i stereched the outside wire for all 6 of the pins on the east

then i painted all the wood on the east and filled the inside on the house and scatch yards with wood chips

then i put the inside top deviders up on 3 pens

here are some updated pics

Joe - Your breeder pens look great. I can't wait to see the finished product.

I'm off to check on everyone. Goats need a snack and the chickens may need water. Hope folks are online tonight to chat.

mefordz & ksane - I've had an Acer desktop computer for about 4 years not and not a bit of trouble with it - until recently. I think the hard drive is getting worn out because it hums once in a while, but other than that, no problems at all. I sprayed the dust out of the innards a few days ago which has helped the humming noise. I'm happy with the Acer too.
