***OKIES in the BYC III ***

The newest hatchling has been rejected by the foster hen I placed it with. I was afraid that might happen so was keeping a close watch. The baby thinks I am it's mother anyway. I brought it in to get photos of it and when I set it on the table, it kept running toward me and jumping on my hand. It cheeps constantly if I'm not holding it and it tries to climb up toward my voice when it hears me talking. Sooooo cute, but since I'm not a hen I'll have to make other arrangements for it. I think I'll place it in a makeshift brooder and "borrow" a couple of it's siblings to grow with.

Now, tell me, what kind of hen wouldn't love this little face?

Don't show that bird off on the Dun Chocolate thread.. you will be hard pressed to keep it.. Nice color hatch a bunch of them if you can..

I might actually have one of those items. But I'm not going to say which one. LOL

Bad part is I know that at least two of those items are currently in my Bedroom. along with other assorted weapons, of course the shotguns scattered through out the house to, it's hard to beat a good scatter gun.

if ya'll didnt see the video you need to go find it. i would have run when the young lady looked at me.

my wife pointed out that besides the "extra" metal in facial parts that dont require metal, she had fangs!
i thought at first she had a dental issue, but no, i think she had fangs!

Well, I'm going to run for now have a show tomorrow so have to get up early, pack up birds, clean and touch up, as well as deliver a few for some folks who have requested them. Have a good evening and saturday will chat tomorrow evening.

Usually my rat pictures make coffee come out her nose first thing in the morning and I get yelled at.

But she used to be that way about the NN pics I posted years ago too and now she has some of them. So by brilliant deduction my guess is that she is out rat shopping.

Hey ya'll! I'm new to the BYC, having just purchased 2 silkies recently. Unfortunately, one died today and I need someone to keep my other girl company. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'd be willing to purchase another silkie or other compatible breed. I live in Yukon. Thanks!

You have found a wonderful group of folks who would love to assist you in the acquisition of more poultry than you thought possible to own. What age of silkie are you looking for?

Three or four dollar-tree feather dusters tied together at the handles will make a nice surrogate momma. Just be careful your light isn't too close to the feathers. You don't want momma to get too hot.
