***OKIES in the BYC III ***

ha ha ha, i gots a baby modern game today!

first chick of the season for me, now if the other 6 eggs will just hatch!

Your running way behind teh curve Jim.. I have so dang many out already I had to start culling already.. But hasn't been bad I have only been hatching Opal, Birchen, and Columbian But likely have 100+ of each on teh ground and more coming with every hatch. I will have some good columbian later in the year if that a color you would still like to work with.

Jim,
Does Ken keep a sales area that is a for fee sales or should I bring a show coop and set it up outside? I might have some extra birds to unload.

sale coops are 1 dollar a hole, most are largefowl coops with a few bantam holes.
all the money goes to the 4h group.

i try to stay around the sale area and keep an eye on things, steal a few birds, ya know what i mean!

i am always lurking around to pick thru the leftovers!

i do need birchen cockerals, the ones i got a few months ago didnt make it.

will be shopping, the supreme commander has a list, all be it small, but a list! i have my orders.

Good deal, I will see how many of what I have at $1 a hole not a problem..
I have several young Birchen Cockrells, too young to know anything about though.. Do you want good ones or just Birchen Cockrells? That is one variety I will have a lot of this year some good, some bad, some in between,
Oh heck just call me we can discuss.

Good afternoon everyone.

TonyO & Poco Pollo - good ideas - mirrors and feather dusters in the brooder with the chicks. I have an orphaned fuzzy house shoe that I found in the attic awhile back that I put in with the chicks. The heat lamp is pointed at it and the little ones snuggle up in it. TonyO - you are right. They look so cute when they do that. They each try to get underneath the others. They like the feeling of being surrounded by warmth and fuzz. I know when I hold them, they like it when I roll them up in the bottom part of my shirt. They poke their little heads out and make that "I'm warm and happy right now" chirp.
