***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Okieridge's 14 year old son is getiing into the swing of things for POOPS. He wants to make a few plywood nest box for the raffle.
Others are beginning to contact me with ideas they are considering: hatching eggs, week old keets, seedlings, blankets, stuff for the kids...the list is growing.

Did someone make some raffle ticket containers for last year's POOPS? Are those still available?

Congrats on the recent purchases of real type farm equipment.

So if impliments are needed there are a couple of auctions around the state.

Enlow auctions in Sapulpa is a good source for anything tractor and the hold the sale once a month.

Idabell Ok. has a huge sale every month too.

And for those here in central Ok. there is Beck's which is just E. of Guthrie on SH-33 on the N side of the road.

In beautiful downtown Perkins there is the Vasser Co. High quality machinery and locally manufactured.

Through the years I have delt with all of these companies and have found them helpful and easy to get along with. I once broke my swather late one evening and Beck's opened back up to get me running again.

There are various salvages scattered about too and sometimes they do have impliments.

In Meno Ok. is Sturgeon's Corner and they also have auctions from time to time

Most of the auction companies have websites so check out their upcoming auctions, they often have pics and descriptions but shop new before buying at auction. That way you know the prices beforehand. There is no reason to pay a nearly new price for used equipment.

Think will be 4 @ poops in my family-- if DH can make it--

I can't PM on my phone -- or at least can't figure out how. Sooner if you see this put me down for a fruit tray. Guessing strawberries, since they should be plentiful & in season. I will also check out the tarp situation closer to poops. I would hate to tell you I have some & then they disappear before poops. About a yr or 2 ago we owned about 3 dz moving blankets, now we own 1. Nobody knows where they went or what happened but somehow they slowly disappeared.

Just finished cooking for the day, I tried to set some aside for my family for dinner & did big pans for DH to take to work for his guys to have tomorrow. Menu is BBQ sandwiches, devil eggs, potato salad, macaroni salad, broccoli & cauliflower salad & chips. I offered to do a desert DH said nope, all the mayo in everything else was fattening enough. I feel like maybe I should have made a side that didn't contain mayo, but mayo is made from eggs & eggs are good for you right? Oh well if they don't like it they don't have to eat it!

First chick of the day just hatches. He is making all kinds of racket. Hopefully he has some friends come out to keep him company soon. Now off to get the kids from school & get ready for gardening class. My plastic gets laid tomorrow!! Need to make sure I charge the camera batteries & find a memory card. I want to get lots of pics since DH won't be home to watch them lay it.

thanks for all the info!

Yowza! There are some power lines down in Tulsa thanks to the wind. Now, I'm not afraid of the dark but when you are in a big building downtown and the lights start to flicker you tend to start thinking "I wish I had a flashlight."

Crazy stuff out there.

Everyone is voting today.
We have a two party home and there were ballots for both of those parties!!
There were 7 or 8 names on the Republican ticket and 5 on the Democratic ticket.

Girls at the polling place said there was not enough publicity about this vote today.
You still have time.
