***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I had to toss a bunch of eggs last night. My blu and black Silkie eggs are not looking so good. :( I really wanted Black and Blue Silkies. How do you check Ameraucana eggs? I can only see through one and thankfully that one is developing.

i don't even try to see through the EE eggs, just leave them alone, the shells are just too thick

Nana! Those girls in your first photo are stunning!

Buster sent you a pm on Buddy- he's yours if you want him

Hey all. Nice seeing so many of you at the auction tonight. I had a heartbreak, though.

I'm minding my own business when my great niece tells me there is something she just has to show me. What do I find but a cage with two FREE male Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mix pups. They were abt 6 weeks old, had the coloring and look of a GSD, but the bulk of a Great Pyr. Fool that I am, I rushed over to ask permission of the woman I love (who said yes, of course) and by the time I got back both had been claimed. To make matters worse, the lady who got the last one asked me to take it out of the cage for her. Oh, how hard it was for me to hand that puppy over! Pure torture!

Those are going to be some cool looking dogs! Can you imagine what appears to be a 150 pound German Shepherd? Awesome.

We left early and stopped by Atwoods in Chickasha to pick up a few more BBW turkeys to sell as meat birds at the farmers market this summer. Tomorrow morning we are going to try out Mary's Swap meet. I have heard so much about it I just have to see it for myself. Afterward, I'm taking my sweety to Bricktown for lunch and a movie, if we can find anything decent playing.

So is Mary's as busy on Sunday as it is on Saturday?

When does the Farmers Market Start up again?

Morning all!
Everyone @ my place is still sleeping. Think I will enjoy my coffee with quiet.

Army wife farmers market starts up April 7th. They are allowing the FFA kids from 5 chapters to sell seedlings that day so if you need any plants will be a good day to get them.

Only buy what I need... lol - There was so much that I was drooling over, the Turkens I needed.. badly

The EE's well always wanted those and the three older birds mixed well I had seen them before and they might be roosters but I just loved the look of them. I would just love them all to bring home - there was one peacock there that would have loved ... did not see any keets and wanting a few of those for sure but those just might have to wait unless I head to a hatchery.

Over all thrilled - and hooked... got home and wifes eyes just rolled and asked let me guess you want to go again?

Good morning all!!! I have abusy day ahead of me. I need to do all the laundry and I get to work on my garned area at the same time.... LOL. Will be interesting to see how much I get done.

Does the Vet believe in offering the goat minerals? In my limited research I haven't heard much controversy, but I do know there are many people who only allow goats to forage without commercial feed or minerals. I imagine if you went to 3 different vets you would get 3 different opinions.

I'm sure you're right, the funny thing is I called 5 places and only one of them would see or treat goats, I felt like I was trying to find a Vet for a reptile LOL

Langston University has an excellent research program for goats and every year they have a field day with workshops in many areas of goat keeping. Plus they have students that run a kid's area so parents can attend the workshops and not worry about their little ones.

Buster they also have aquaculture research that is ongoing as well.

The workshop is April 28th of this year
