***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Quote: That is TOO Funny!! But, I'm thinking the more scandalous aspect is the provocative pose rather than the unclad condition of this poor creature LOL

ETS: Jim DON'T say it!! they will banish you no matter how tempting it is!!

No rain here yet. DH has been calling (he's in Tulsa for the weekend) to be sure everything is still okay. I didn't have to coax anyone into his or her coop tonight. Every roost was occupied, and I got that look form the hens that says, "You're late. You should have closed the door an hour ago."

Sorry I didn't get better pictures of the kittens. I'll let the experts check them at POOPS. I'll make sure they have been wormed and are flea free.

boy you guys are chatty, just hopped on and 8 pages to read....

my guineas have been busy, they have pretty much melted into one flock now- 3 pairs, and have been busy by the barn, my studio overlooks the nest...

looking at weather reports, am trying not to think i need to move all the chickens in! as it is i bave my bantam favs in the studio and the cochins kids in the spare tub, so i don't know where i'd put the others! sheesh!

first time they saw popcorn, they were sure it would hop up and eat them!

but if there is a broody, she'll show what popcorn is for!!

Tomorrow the baby chicks won't be able to be outside at all since Gary and I both will be gone all day. So Gary and I set them up w/ a brooder in a storage area, they have a window to outside, and it is a very large dog kennel filled w/ sand and I dug up some grass clumps and put them in so the floor is half grass and half sand we even put a couple of roosts for them. Hopefully that will keep them occupied for most of the day w/o to much psychological trauma. Before I get accused of spoiling them just remember Nanakat has swamp coolers on hers ......................... (sorry to throw you under the bus Nanakat!!!! lol lol lol)

I was able to check my bee's today, needed to make sure they got the queen free & they did!!!
yes I put a hole in it getting the queen cage out.

Kass and Sooner, I love those flowers! We have some but they are plain ol light purple. The couple we bought our house from only planted purple flowers. It was scandlous when I planted pink and yellow flowers our first spring. Then this year I cleaned some of the flowers out of the raised beds and put in radishes and turnips. They pointed out that the flowers were all edible. I pointed out I would eat radishes and turnips before I would eat flowers, lol.

Carl, I have to say it is a good thing hubby is bald already. He has been trying to get the temp steady in that incubator all night. He is to the point of a .2 deg. difference between tray 1 and 6, lol. I think he is close, haha. I found the hygrometer on Amazon and it will be here this week. Can't wait to put this beautiful incubator to use!! Thanks for all the advice in getting it set up right.

Well off to listen to more 80's music while we wait for Gary England to keep us up to date on the weather, lol.
