***OKIES in the BYC III ***

That's a fine coop! I would be proud to be one of your chickens! They have shelter, they have a fence, they have food. Us wives just like to give you guys a hard time. What I bet she appreciates is how much you care about the chickens :)

I hope so - built out of almost 100% trash day casts offs in the last few weeks! even their nesting boxes lol..

they love it and to me that is everything!

My husband just said the news claims they're expecting a series of tornadoes like May 3rd. Granted they DO exaggerate greatly when it comes to the weather.....but I don't think we'll go to Blanchard unless they call off the storm threat.
Rebecca, me and you can meet sometime this week or even at Newcastle next weekend over the Splash Cochin boy.
Christina, do you want me to hang onto the purple Guinea or give it to OceansEve? She's only a mile from me. If you actually want it I'll hang onto it but if you were just doing me a favor taking it I'm going to try to beg someone else to take it :-D

Mitzi you can gift oceans the new guinea. She has a few purples she got from bird walk so that will work well for her. I was just offering to take him since he wouldn't wouldn't be noticed at my place.

I knew the storm warnings would be bad today. That is why we are pulling up to frontier city now. It is the perfect time to get out season pass photos. No wait & no crowds!

Not sure how long we will stay @ Blanchard. DH is with me & he wont last too long. If he isnt buying stuff he gets bored. Last auction he kept offering to buy me everything I liked-- even ducks no one was bidding on. He is the one that keeps saying no ducks, if we would have bought them he would have complained afterwards about needing to make a pen for them. I knew not to raise my hand since he would have buyers remorse.

Everyone take care & stay safe!

OK, I asked in an earlier post, but it probably got lost in all my babble, but can someone please tell me about the sales at Blanchard and Newcastle? When, where, and what?
I'd sure appreciate it.

Take I-44 to the Newcastle exit. Go past the casino on Hwy 62 West. Going toward Blanchard. Go past the Sonic. On the left will be a park then on top of the hill will be the auction location - the fairgrounds.
OR go thru Blanchard on Hwy E to Newcastle. Then on the right you will see the fairgrounds. If you go past park you missed it.

Okay trying some garden and such pics from today -

Yes it really is that dark - I love the dark ones..

BlanchardOK - Beautiful garden you have there with all the pretty flowers. This one is my favorite from the ones you posted. I made some adjustments to your photo to give it a better presentation. Just beautiful!

Your coop is just fine, too. I'm sure your birds are happy to live there.

ok, page 2787 Top right hand side. Is anyone else seeing a raunchy video clip up there?!?!? Can someone get that crap off my page?

I use AdBlocker so no ads show up at all, but I've seen on another thread that folks are reporting seeing inappropriate ads. You might want to let the mods know about it so they can track the source and block it.

I got 2 Silkied Seramas from Deanne/UpCDayze (if I spelled that right) a month ago. The girl was supposed to be mine and the boy is one my grown daughter picked out. They were both so lonesome apart that they've been kept together. My daughter has claimed them both now. They're just beautiful. These are about the prettiest colored Seramas I've ever seen, I think. (Don't let Channing hear me say that).

Mitzi - thank you for posting a pic of these two. It's nice to see how much they've grown. They are the most unusual color, though I don't know what it would be called. Pretty is good enough for me. I love their green eyes! I hope to get some more hatches this color. Cute captions you gave them!

Ok you all are killing me with all the beautiful Iris pictures!!! I love them, when we moved from our place in Carney I had over 45 different colors of Iris in my front yard, i love them, when we moved I made the desisioun not to plant a lot of flowers and such in the yard to have to take care of! I really miss my Iris though, theyr are my favorite flower, i have been tempted to try and retrieve some starts off mine in Carney but have resisted as of now. you all for the beautifull pics! And for the one whom said she liked the DARK ones, you should have seen the north side of my yard, I had Blacks, Purples and Blues in around 15 different shades, I have to say the Blues, Blacks and Peaches or Oranges are my favorite colors! For those interested in Irises, there is a lady in Carney that raises breeds and shows Iris, she has a sales catalog out.You will have to search it as i don't remember the name. Also there is a lady names Ann Barrows in Glencoe, Ok that raises, breeds, shows and judges Iris, she has around 5 acres of them. She sells to the public, she is listed in the phone book! Just for your info, Glencoe is where I grew up, a quiet small town. It is so interesting to study these small towns and to discover just how many STARS there are in or from them. Just in my little town there was a renowned auther, an award winning artist, The lead singer from "The Tractors" country music star, and many more, it is facinating all the tallent that comes from small towns in Oklahoma, we are a very blessed state, if you ever have some time on your hands, check out your town, I am sure you will be surprised! OK!!!! I am off my history/flower lovin soapbox!!! Want to say I am so amped up for Poops!!!! I love chickens and pigeons as much and maybe more that Irises!!!! LOL We got some much needed rain last night up in Morrison(NC OKLA), luck we didn't get any tornadoes and not too much wind! Yall have a wonderful day!!! Lynn Oh PS, I have a friend in Ripley, OK that has a bunch of Guinea eggs, if anyone is interested, pm or email me!!!!
