***OKIES in the BYC III ***

NanaKat That is a handsome dog and he is obviously well cared for.

Thank you. He is a wonderful gentleman that sometimes thinks he is a chihuahua...creeps up into your lap in the recliner and snuggles....all 84 pounds of him. He is a wonderful guard dog also. Someone dumped him and when we found him he was skin and bones....literally you could count every bone on his little body.

We are getting closer and closer to the big event.
POOPS is May 5 at the Choctaw Creek Park in Choctaw

Thanks to everyone who sent me pm's about attending. I have updated the lis,
we are now at 111! Woo hoo !
If you know you are coming or even thinking thinking about
coming, please pm me and I will get you on the list!

Monty -- I may be adding 2 more. Girls both want to bring a friend. What could be better than driving to an all day chicken swap with a car full of girls & newly hatched guineas & chicks.

The guineas are on lock down along with a couple dozen misc chicken eggs. Fingers crossed for a good hatch & lots of different colored keets!!!

Goodnight all!

Had to post these pictures.... Our Catahoula loves baby chickens...he will lay on the floor and let them run across his feet. Even the momma hens know he won't hurt the babies and will get close to him too yet will eat my hand if I get too close. Too bad you cant see the wagging tail and the eyes darting to check out each tiny baby. These are the d'Anvers bantams that Carl hatched for me.

Hello Oklahoma Chicken People!
Beautiful Day! Lots to Do!
Hope everyone is getting excited for our big event on Saturday.
According to our latest weather forecast it is supposed to be hot
and humid with a slight chance for rain on Saturday.
Hopefully we won't have to hang any of the tarps for windbreaks!
Everyone have a super day!
Monty

Nana I love your set up! Do your wire cages have wire floors? We bought a stack set that has wire floors but I just felt so sorry for the birds we had in those cages being on wire I moved them, lol.

Cathie a yr ago I thought wire floor brooders were the meanest thing in the whole world. When we were only hatching in the brinsea cleaning shavings wasn't so bad. Now that DD hatches 2-10 dz a wk I would pull my hair out if we had to clean all those boxes. With the wire the food & water stays clean & we only change the newspaper under the tray a couple times a wk (just depends on his full the brooder is & the age of the birds)

I am brining guinea keets to POOPS. They are hatching out right now, guessing we should have about 3 dz. gotgame I will send you a PM when I know what colors & have a count. CityClucks I will pm you as will, I know you wanted some fancy ones-- once they fluff out I will have a good idea of the variety of this hatch.
