***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Actually haven't given it a lot of thought other than it seems like a good idea LOL I think the nipples are worth a couple bucks each a couple on a gallon water about five something like that, I'm sure we can figure out something, I always figure that there are two things that separate us Americans from everyone else is we live by the barter system and we can eat anything on the face of the planet between two pieces of bread....

ETS: Except Cabbage that is :sick

Hey! I like cabbage! Especially on a debris roast beef po' boy from Mother's in New Orleans. But what were we talking about before? Oh. Right. Waterers! That's awesome. I'll have some cash with me and some stuff to trade. :) See you tomorrow!

Just battled another snake! DD & I went down to barn to do some clean up & stupid snake was on top of the brooder!!! It had its head barely stuck in deer netting. The snake got away, made it under the wood floor before I was able to get something to catch it with. I cut lots of netting & bunched it up & stuffed it along the edges of the wall & sprinkled moth flakes everywhere. Also put more netting around & over the brooder stack. Now the netting is so thick around the bottoms he will get way tangled if he makes another attempt (hopefully). Stupid stupid snakes!!!!

"Snakes! Why does it always have to be snakes?"

Potato salad made and in the fridge for tomorrow. Country Pork ribs in the oven for dinner tonight
Printed out some labels for the sale birds. Potted up some rose bushes.
Now going to scrub out the ice chest, vacuum the carpets and fold some laundry.
Then, start packing the truck.. with raffle items, empty boxes for transporting birds

Will cage the birds tonight and load them in the morning. If there going to be a faucet where we can get water for the birds? Guess I'll stick in a couple of jugs of water just in case.

Using a lot of it today...

Well we had a couple of stray dogs visit this morning. They killed a Shamo pullet and rooster and hurt one of Jared's OEG roosters.
They totally destroyed one pen and somehow pulled the other through the wire.
I have the extra tables and grill loaded and ready to head over to the park but I guess I will wait til morning to take them.
Gotta get all of the little stuff in order now.
I won't be on much today but will try and check in when I can.
If you have questions about POOPS send me a PM!

I'm soooo sorry. Stray dogs are a real nuisance around here.

LOL Hopefully I will have lots but surely I'll have a few anyway
Quote: I'll have to tell my horror story about childhood traumatic experiences regarding cabbage :)

I'm still swearing by the minnow traps for catching snakes easy to build or cheap to buy and they really work well

This is a picture of what the stroller I'm bringing looks like now. I would have posted a picture of it last night, but I was too ashamed of how dusty it was from being in my garage!

Anyway, it just had a fresh bath. The parent tray thing is different now. The old plastic one fell off every time you hit a bump, so I bought a new neoprene one that fits on it. It will even hold a couple of Rt. 44 Sonic drinks without giving the baby a bath in soda!

The wheels are solid rubber so they don't need aired up, but they're not as bumpy as solid plastic ones are. The actual seat the baby sits in is only a year old. One of the little springs broke and I called Kolcraft and instead of sending me one little dinky part, they sent me a whole brand new seat.

There are two faults that I can see with the stroller. One, the little bar that goes across where the baby sits, the cover on that was dirty and when I washed it, some of the material fuzzed. It's not ripped, just fuzzy along the seam. I am going to try to cut them off but if it looks awful, you can just take it off because it is solid shiny metal under there. Two, one of the ribs of the canopy has been repaired. I accidentally dropped a 50 lb bag of chicken feed on it when it was in my van, and it snapped. I opened up the seam, fixed the rib with a plastic plate and some gorilla tape and sewed it back up again. Anyway, here 'tis.

Been a few since I came on here and said Hello.. so I want to wish you all a happy POOPS weekend.. and may some of you bring home more than you plan to and less than what you know you ought too.. :) meaning always do chicken math !

Wish you could be here we'll all miss ya this year, I need a calculator to do math and mine doesn't understand chicken math LOL

I am sure it is a bull snake. We kill at least one a wk all summer long. They are drawn to me it seems.
Asked DH to build a different frame for the brooders where we could put some metal window screen around the entire frame. Maybe that will help some.
Bill I was looking the other day @ some minnow traps made out of kitty litter buckets. Wonder how many minnow traps it would take to slow down our snake population.
