***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Ok, who has a pair of small fainting goats they'd like to part with?

-Stimp-
Only source I know of is Gerald & Carla. We got 3 from them. A weather, buckling & cute little black doe that has wavy hair & is polled. The are all sweet & enjoy being petted -- they are your best friends when you have a bucket of feed tow.

i love my bared rock hens i have no roos but the ladies are like good pets they all three have names smokey is in the pic with chillie. then i have two others freckles and spot.

Also, Privett Hatchery in New Mexico has some decent Doms as far as hatcheries go.
I really want to avoid hatchery stock if possible. Guess I will hold tight until I find what I want. I really want to find chicks around 3-6 weeks old so I can smuggle them in with the other chicks and hubby will be none the wiser, lol. (He does all the feather baby feeding Monday-Thursday but he doesn't bother counting anymore, lol).

Those of you with OEGB, when do you dub the little roos? How old are they supposed to be?

everybody dubs at differant times, some say when the sickle feathers come in, others say when you have enough comb to do it, still others wait till it just looks right. i fit in the last catergorie.

sneeky chicken math lol let me know when he dose realize this story could be funny.
Nope with Carl's help I have him schooled very well in chicken math. Well schooled enough for him to realize he can't win 'that' arguement with me so he has given up. He did say no more eggs in the incubator until after June 15th, lol.

Plus he has learned that chicken math is kind of like kid math at our house, if they are still nursing and in cloth diapers they don't count. If we can't take them off our taxes they don't count (ie: all the teen boys that spend the night with the big boys after basketball games).
