Bfrancis we are excited about the eggs! I saved room just for them. Thanks so much!

Tomorrow the girls & I are going to slave at the rent house, unless DH pulls an all nighter & paints everything without us. How is it we can live in a house for 5 or 6 yrs & never need to repaint, but rental tenants leave our houses needing paint from ceiling to floor after only a yr??? Come to think of it in 13 yrs of marriage we have never even had to patch a hole in a wall, but most rent houses get the walls patch annually. Next week DH is on leave so my honey do list should at least see a dent in it.

Nana I love that you are getting such a jump start on canning. I can't do beets though. I juice a lot of different fruits & veggies. When I try juicing beets I just taste dirt.

Oh~~~ most exciting news of the day. Our friend that cleans out foreclosures got me a nice side by side fridge for the barn. My eggs will be so happy to have there own fridge! And the freezer will be used for summer chicken treats. Going to have a midnight snack then pop in a movie. Good night all!

Was at TS in Weatherford today. They had a quart of vit. mix for chickens for 12 dollars. Took bottle around to horse side and had a gallon of vit mix for horses for 29 dollars. Read label and it was exact same mix and made by same company. Just shows how comapanys try to take advantage of poultry folks.

Robin - keeping your FIL and family in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

BBacres - your birds are pretty no matter what they are.

I've always liked solid white birds. I had a very large White Plymouth Rock rooster for awhile that was absolutely gorgeous. Since he crowed VERY loudly, I had to rehome him. He, along with another rooster, went to the yard guys I had at the time, in trade for some yard work they did for me. I miss that rooster. His name was Bubba.

I haven't seen any more clumps of tissue since the one the other day. That was a really strange thing to see come out the rear end of my hen, and even stranger that it happened right in front of me. It makes me wonder what happens when I'm not looking.
So I was just looking up info on this breed. And A lot of pics look just like my little guy. So maybe it's a white plymouth rock. My daughter even thinks it looks the same.
