***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Here's one of the white ones. Don't guess it has puffy cheeks either.

There is the other. They are just as different as can be.

Not chicken related...But I sure wish this girl would kid already. Bless her heart,

Poor thing looks like she's miserable :(

Mitzi I was the same way until recently. It is taking way to long to feed and I really have my breeders picked out so I decided this week to part with anything I could that I didn't 'need'. I sold over 60 birds (25 were chicks). But it was so liberating to go out this morning and see the pens less crowded. I hated looking into grow out pens and see 3-5 roos that I just couldn't use. I will sell more chicks this week and trying to talk Jackson into selling a few of his banty cochin chicks since his little pair has an almost 100% hatch rate we will soon be over run with banty cochins if I'm not careful! LOL

Ocean, that picture could sell anyone on piggies!!! CUTE!! I think they are cute in pics but terrified of them. We had a wild one come up to our house shortly after we got married. It cornered me on the porch and then once I got into the house it laid down against the door and wouldn't let me out. Nope I don't do pigs or geese!

lol, that's what I'm worried about. There was a nice one down the street when I grew up, I even took care of it when the owner was gone on vacation, but it never failed when they left on vacation that **** pig would get out at night, go 3 houses down and squeal at the top of it's lungs till we came out to take it home! Drove my parents crazy! If we don't get these things to socialize they are gonna be a handful.

I just shuffled birds through brooders and cages and moved some outside... My god I have a lot of young birds.. time to start shipping SOME out. I do have some young Golden Birchen, and Blue Golden Birchen males if anyone is interested in them let me know Hint Hint Hint Jim or Micheal. I have pullets coming out everywhere I find it odd I have not a single older Black Rosecomb cockrell but 9 pullets that had to be moved outside, I do have 4 younger black cockrells with the pullets to match so I have 4 pairs there,

Madison gets a trio of Black, blue and some splash for the fall show season, as well as Some OE in Birchen, Silver Blue, Opal, Columbian, and Brown red.
Who else has kids that would like to show this year? I'm looking for volunteers.
Do you have pics of the Blue Golden Birchen? I would love to see what they look like. The OE's are growing on me! LOL Would it be best for the kids to join 4H to learn how to show? I know I have one interested and maybe more. I am interested myself but have no idea how to get started.

We got 1 1/2" rain and lots of hail, but luckly the tomatoes didnt look like they were beat up to bad. Will take closer look tomorrow in daylight. Was nice to get rain. Been a long day. Since mower broke, did way more weedeating than I needed to do. Had a man come out from OKC and bought some asil pullets. Son made it home today for the summer from OU. Excited about that. Got big day tomorrow. Hope all has a good evening.

Edit: Forgot to address this! If there's anything I can do to help let me know. I don't know if you all can wait but I could bring some to the June get-together, it's not for a month though.

The top one does have a pea comb. But pea combs are dominant over single combs so it could have Ameraucana (or some pea-combed breed) in it. I think that one and the one on the bottom are both girls. I don't know what that top one is but I'd take it back in a heartbeat if you didn't want it

. I can't believe I didn't keep those Brahmas. I was too overwhelmed all at once and got scared lol
I do want Gold Laced &/or Light Brahmas. But I'm going to give it some time in between hatchings.

Hope the tomatoes are okay in the morning BUT love your news about your son being home for the summer! I just know you both will make the best of every day!

I've been unable to get online lately. Our Internet connection is wonky, and I don't know what's causing it.

The sale on Friday in Coweta was great. I wasn't able to get home until after midnight because my cages didn't empty out. The baby cream legbars did well: I got my reserve price. I will have another pair of cream legbar babies for sale at N.E.O.C.S. These will be about five weeks old on June 16th.

I'm loving all the photos people are posting. Bill - amazing piggies!

We just got back from an all-day excursion to Bartlesville. V had her big dance recital tonight at the BVille PAC. She performed in three different styles of dance: tap, jazz, and ballet. Her point was perfect, and she's got the blisters and square toes to prove it. I'm constantly amazed at how much she has matured each time I see her. Her baby sister, now three, danced every dance along with her, but she was in the audience. Looking around, I saw a lot of other younger siblings doing the same. Our daughter hosted family from all over, and tonight DH's parents are sleeping in her guest room so they can join everyone for church in the morning.

Pleasant dreams, everyone. Hope to be able to get online tomorrow.
