***OKIES in the BYC III ***

sorry all for the delayed responses has been a crazy weekend for me. Did a camp out with our girl scout troop. It went ok till the weather moved in at about one in the morning. I did find out that my troop can clear the sight pretty quick. we had 22 people and tents and other gear was packed up in 20 mins. Garden is looking wonderful. More green beans poking out of the dirt and all my maters have at least 7 fruits on them now! Happy monday all.
I must say, my tent came down WAY faster then it went up! All in all it was fun and can't wait to do it again.

Lost a baby chick this mornin. Was one of my new Silver Spangled Hamburgs. Looked in on it before hubby left for work at 6:15 and they all looked great. Looked in again sometime after my daughter left for school (7:30) and it was laying on its side, legs stretched out, floppy neck and its beak was opening and closing constantly. Any ideas?

nana or anyone else around prauge, i just saw an ad on craigslist for someone starting another animal auction in the old ensign's bldg. didnt say who, but first sale is may 26.

They have opened a cafe' there, too. We saw it when we took grandkids home yesterday. I don't know if it's under new management or what, but might be worth checking out.

if you put a cracked hatching egg from a broody into the bator, will it damage the other eggs? seems the hens got in a squable over nests
Robin I hatched an egg a few weeks back that I repaired with scotch tape. It spent 18 days in the bator with tape on it. No problems. First time I ever tried it & it worked so I was excited. Mitzi don't beat yourself up over the eggs. DH dropped our entire brinsea loaded full. 4 days before hatch. That was a devastating day! We all make mistakes in incubating. We know you would do anything to save the eggs or chicks.
