Well got home early from kiddo's practice and found a guinea that had somehow pinned itself under a mirror in their pen. It was once of the freerangers the mirror is attached to the fencing with wire but somehow the wire broke (probably by the goofy guineas that walk on top of it and look at themselves upside down). He isn't acting himself, let me pick him up. I don't hold out much hope. Put him in a dog crate with water and food and praying for the best. The mirror wasn't heavy but I know it is in shock. We will just have to wait and see.
The good news is that the eggs we stole from the wild guinea girl's nest are hatching. I have two pipped and lots more moving so know there are little babies waiting to meet this crazy little poultry farm. Hopefully we get at least a dozen so they can have their own little flock. If not I may have to buy more from Terron, lol.
Well off to clean the basement brooders those keets sure can make a stinky mess of their brooder rather quickly! Can't wait until they are old enough to move outside but that will be at least another 2 weeks.
