Good morning all! Hi Carah!!! The dang wind is still blowin like crazy here in north central Okla., I hate wind, would rather fight rain and snow than wind!!! And of course we live on a hill where the wind never stops!! I don't think there is anything to stop or slow down the wind between me and Kansas!!! We could use some rain, but notice that the wheat is ripe for harvest around here, I can hold out for rain till the farmers get their wheat in, it looks like a good crop this year everywhere, I see more hay this year already baled than we got the whole year last year I think! I have two broodies that are hatching out, cant wait to see what all come out of them!
I sent Coral a text last night, I think my family is going to try to make the NEOCS and see whats going on there on June 16, sounds like a good Father's Day trip to me!!! Monty finally got some eggs from the Spotted hen and the Grey hens, I am leaving them to see if they will go broody, I put my Spangled Toppy in with the Speckled Toppy hen and I put the Greys in with a Butterscotch colored Punkin Hulsey cock(that I plan to take to Teach), I hope they go broody, if not in a week from now I will collect the eggs and try to find a hen or incubator to put them in. Hey Carl, have a question for you or maybe Guy, if I wanted to show one of my Punkins, what color would they be listed under, the ones I have are the light ones, I call it Butterscotch colored, would that classify as a Buff or Ginger, Thinking the Darks would be Ginger but not sure?!? Well yall have a great day, stay safe, Lynn
