I think you mean me, not McGyver :) Azure is an awesome name! I had been calling him Blaze. He'll eat literally anything from your hand, he's a nice baby. I didn't know Ameraucanas got that big at 9 wks, is that typical? My Lavender Ams were supposed to be LF, but the reason I think they're bantam is because the Blue you took is twice their size.

Kasane I am so sorry I got the names mixed up!! I am not sure if that is normal growth for 9 weeks but he seems healthy and we have chicks that are about his size that he will be going with. Heather has already attached to him so he will be very spoiled if she has anything to do with it! Thanks, Lynn

Picked a few tomatoes and peppers early this morning.
We had to give the heifers wart innoculations today...21 heifers getting two shots each...not a happy bunch of girls. Then the boys applied oil spray for the flies...much happier girls.
10% chance of rain today and supposed to reach 70 degrees by noon. going back out to weed in the garden.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Mitzi - thanks! just let me know if you do go.

that bird crowed? unless that is an old pic, that is one testoterone filled chick!

i have birds that are a few months old and havent even tried to crow yet, what is your secret?
i want mine to crow when their that little so i can mark them.
HAHAHA, that is the pic I posted some months ago and someone on here told me it was a pullet. If I get around to it I'll post a pic of him now.

The one in front or the one in the back? Eyeliner and comb suggest a pullet....hmmmm. What are you feeding the little one?
they're still on starter, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are getting into the flock raiser as well.

I don't think it was me. I only had one blue Easter Egger roo and I sold him to the guy at Mary's Swap meet.

Whew. Glad you cleared that up. I was wondering.

LOL! I cracked up because at first I thought the tomatoes were eggs, and I thought "Now, why would someone put hot peppers in their incubator?"
