***OKIES in the BYC III ***

so ellie gave me another kitten to go with mr butters. Thus far they want nothing to do with each other. Lots of raised fur and a bit of hissing and spitting. This is only day two and hoping they grow out of it. The great part is both cats have a loving home. Spazz has decided that sianna is her human and she spends most of her day in siannas room

. Butters was supposed to be savannas but for some reason has taken a real shine to me and my hubby. The cat sleeps w us at night. ( at least when it is sleeping.)

The other time is spent creeping under the sheets and biting your toes while you sleep. So im assuming this is part of the crazy ginger cat. Ps you know your to into chickens when you confuse the cat with one. daughter told me the cat got its tail stuck in a vent. I had been looking at some chicken stuff for a bit and asked her how the chicken got its tail caught. Help the dark side is taken over

We adopted two kittens a couple of months ago, this is the first time we have had two kittnes at one time, and I will never adopt a single kitten again. It is sooooo much easier on people when they can terrorize each other.

Adult guineas are notoriously hard to rehome. They need to be housed in one place for six to eight weeks before they will accept that they live there. I have gotten peepers, little blinders for the guineas so they can't see to peck, and that has helped. After my last experience with guineas I have decided to keep the chickens in a pasture pen and let the guineas range this time around.
I would love it if my guineas would range, but they won't. They never get too far from the coop, which they don't sleep in, but they do sleep on it.

My two main goals for today is to get the Seusser shack ( chicken coop) finished enough to start painting, (Gary has said he will help me w/ this today) and water the garden. I would like to get some food processing done and finish my bedroom curtains, but we'll see how it goes.

Hello everyone. Hope all is going well for you.

Gunmama, hope your dachshund is doing ok today.

Several others, sorry for your chicken losses. This heat is taking a toll on everything. I am off work until Monday so am hoping to get alot accomplished with the coop as well as inside my home. Just need movitivation!

Anyone know of peachicks (blue or purple preferred) and breeding quail pairs might be for sale this summer? Got some pens built out and very ready to get everything started.
