Here's what we've been doing this weekend.
First layer of our clay bread oven is done and drying in the sun. It'll never be mistaken as from somewhere else with this beautiful Oklahoma red clay in it! Lol.
I can hardly wait to bake something in it. My son was home for the weekend and kept mentioning all the things that would taste great cooked in it ... chicken pesto pizza, sourdough bread bowls, eggplant and onion pizza (yeah, I know it sounds strange but we love it). My mouth was drooling.
Any Okie hookers ............................................... ehem, I mean crocheters

Okla that means you too
Oh Robin, I'm sorry :-( She was so pretty, too. I'd like a redo of this year, too. I lost way too many favorites this year.
For Silkies then you want some of Betsy's silkies. My son Kurt got 4 from her this spring and they are now laying. They are the sweetest little things. Plus they are very healthy birds.
Hello everyone:
I'm new to the board. Can anyone tell me who sells "show quality" silkie pairs here in Oklahoma? I live in the McAlester, Oklahoma area.
Thanks and I hope I'm not breaking any rules with my first post!
I should have mentioned that I'm interested in full size silkies - not particular about color - but the blue ones seem really pretty.
