***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Mcguyver, so sorry about your husbands unexpected surgery, glad he is doing better though, and it is good they caught it while it could be fixed, hope for a speedy recovery. I of course had to look up the patterns you were talking about I have never crocheted amigurumi before but may have to learn just to make my own D.W. dolls.

Kass, that looks like a V comb, Polish, Spitzhauben and othes have them. I think Houdans probably do also, can't remember. The Araucuna looks male because of the way he's coloring in, I can't tell with the white one and V combs are really hard to sex til their older (if that's what that comb is on the black one).
MacGuyver, my frizzle does look blue in the picture but that's not how it looks in real life, strange. Jeez, I hope your DH has a quick recovery.
Christina, your older girl sounds the opposite from your youngest. Has Taron ever met a stranger? I wish I'd have had her confidance at that age.

We lost thee birds today...with no signs of illness. All thee were layers. Lucy was the Cornish cross that brooded chickens this past winter and the other two wer young pulleys just laying. Two were dead this morning and one this afternoon. she laid an egg this morning and appeared healthy.
I wondered if I was the only one loosing birds. Hubby said Thursday that one of my SLW pullets who had been fine that morning when he fed and watered was dead at noon when he did rounds of the pens. No signs of injury or anything. I have the rest of that pen in quarentine now. Nathanael's columbians are back in their pen after being in quarentine one of his little columbian OEGB pullets died the same way. Fine one min. gone the next. The other two never did show signs of illness.

Hi every one haven't been on In a while been crazy busy. Got a lot of my chicken work done yesterday. It was so pretty outside. My americonas are getting so pretty they are 4 1/2 months old. I separated birds and sold all the roosters so I wouldn't be breeding brother to sister and at auction I bought a beautiful lavender americona rooster for my girls. Is it ok to worm chickens in the winter?
